The symposium OUR COMMON HERITAGE in Saint Petersburg (RU) is part of the Heritage Days Russia initiated by the Centre for International Heritage Activities (Leiden, NL). The Heritage Days aimed at bringing together experts active in shared heritage projects in the designated priority countries of the Dutch Mutual Cultural Heritage Policy and thus creating more coherence between various cultural heritage projects and to discuss coordination between the various partners. The Heritage Days Russia took place in Amsterdam (March 2010) and Saint Petersburg (October 2010).
The programme was centered around three themes: built heritage & landscape architecture, academic research, scientific collections & museums, and archaeology, maritime archaeology & naval history. More than 60 participants from all over Russia attended (Arkhangelsk, Astrakhan, Moscow, Kaluga, Kemerovo, Saratov, Saint Petersburg, and Yaroslavl). The symposium took place at the Saint Petersburg branch of the National Library of Russia.
