MANAGEMENT – Project lead for Sol LeWitt, an exhibition project on the American conceptual artist at the Jewish Museum in Amsterdam. The show features four of his massive wall drawings specially recreated here by wall drawing experts of the Sol LeWitt Estate and students from the HKU. Also on display are sculptures, art on paper and archive material. The exhibition explores LeWitt’s Jewish background and his special connection with the Netherlands.
The project includes a family concept for discovering LeWitt’s work and a playground where visitors of all ages can playfully engage with his work. The exhibition is accompanied by an extensive public programme with a wide range of activities. Visitor’s with visual impairments are invited to explore LeWitt’s work during an accessible programme that is monthly offered for free. A special bookazine on Sol is available in Dutch.
